ArmA is totally it's own game. There is nothing like it except for Operation Flashpoint Challenge: 7.2 This game is extremely hard in every mode, But, this game is supposed to be a Military Simulator, unlike any other game.

 

The aiming is very sensitive and it is pretty hard to kill an enemy soldier. If you enable lock-on aiming, it is still pretty hard to kill someone. The enemy AI have the aim of an expert marksman, so, be sure to kill them before they kill you. Graphics: 7.5 The Graphics are pretty decent for a 2007 game, but sometimes the shading gets screwed up and it looks weird.

 

In night operations, you can use Night Vision Goggles, but these sometimes hardly work at all. they help a little bit, but the brightness is extremely low, so it is still kind of hard to see. Storyline: 6.0 The Storyline is lacking excitement . the only story you get is the cutscenes between missions.

 

Controls: 3.7 Controls.....the worst i've ever seen in a game. the movement and shooting i could give maybe a 7, but when you are giving commands, it is flat out Frustrating. if you give a command to your squad, you have to pass through numerous menus to just even order your squad to fire.

 

If you give an order to a member of your squad in the middle of the battlefield, there is a 75% chance that you will get shot before you even say the order. Controls-uck. Sound: 6.2 The Sound is pretty lame. the AI sound like robots when they give commands and talk in the battlefield.

 

In explosions, the explosion sound is often delayed by a few seconds. there are just some major bugs in sound that make you frustrated, too. Overall....... ArmA is a good game. despite the sound and the difficulty, this game is a good experience for someone who would want to join the Military in the future, or just someone who wants a military simulator. This is a one-of-a-kind game, so you have to practice for a while to get some fun out of it. ArmA Combat Operations: 6.8
